Evara is built around people who can be traced back to someone real — your circle, your campus, your events. That design is a safety feature, not just a matching feature. Here's what backs it up.

If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Evara is not an emergency service and cannot dispatch help. For urgent non-emergency concerns about another user, use Report in the app — it reaches our team fastest.

What we do

The protections built in.

None of these are settings you have to go find. They're on by default, for everyone.

18+ only, verified at signup

Evara is adults only. Accounts we believe belong to someone under 18 are terminated and their data deleted. We don't knowingly collect data from minors.

Report and block in one tap

Report anyone from their profile or a chat. Blocking is immediate and mutual. Every report is reviewed by our team — not silently queued.

Automated + human moderation

Photos are screened by automated tools on upload, and messages are checked by an automated classifier. If our systems can't confirm a photo is safe, it comes down. Profile text isn't pre-screened — that's what Report is for, and a report gets human review.

Vouches instead of guesswork

A friend backing your profile is social proof a stranger can't fake. It's the core of how Evara works, and it's why fake profiles have a harder time here.

One campus at a time

Opening market by market keeps the community small enough to actually moderate, and keeps matches local enough that people have context on each other.

Your data stays yours

View, export, or permanently delete your account and data at any time from Settings. We don't sell personal information, and we don't track you across other apps.

If something goes wrong

Reporting someone.

Use the app rather than email — reports made in-app carry the context our team needs to act.

Open their profile or your chat
Tap the menu and choose Report. You can also block from the same menu — you don't have to do one to do the other.

Tell us what happened
Pick the reason that fits. If none of them do, say so in your own words — a human reads it.

Block if you want distance immediately
Blocking takes effect straight away and doesn't wait on our review. They won't be able to see you or contact you.

We review it
Our team reviews flagged content and takes action on accounts that break the rules — up to permanent removal. Serious matters are escalated, and we cooperate with law enforcement where legally required.

Meeting in person

Sensible first-date rules.

Nothing you haven't heard before. Worth repeating anyway.

Meet somewhere public the first time. A café, a campus spot, an event — somewhere with other people around.
Tell a friend where you're going. Who you're meeting, where, and roughly when you expect to be done.
Arrange your own travel. Get yourself there and back so you can leave whenever you want to.
Keep the conversation in the app until you're comfortable. There's no rush to hand over your number.
Watch your drink. Order it yourself, and don't leave it unattended.
Leave if it feels off. You don't owe anyone an explanation, and you don't owe them a second hour. Trust the feeling.
Never send money. Anyone who asks for money, gift cards, or crypto is running a scam. Report them.

Something you need to tell us?

Safety concerns about another user go through Report in the app for the fastest response. For anything else, our team reads every message.
